Tibetan Nomads

I am taking art of Tibet this semester. One of my recent lecture was all about the lifestyle of the Tibetan nomads. They are such a unique people group and what really amazes me is their style. They always look totally decked out even while working and cooking. They dress in so many layers to keep warm, but it ends up creating a fabulous eclectic visual experience.

    New fashion statement...?

    I would love to see the fashion industry work on the idea of "function over fashion," rather than what the opposite it's been creating for years.

    lots of layers are the way to go. i love their cloaks. and their hats.
