a few fashion thoughts.

inspired by cultural experience, or those which i want to take. the thank you note is to a UD alumni artist who worked for Poke in London for a few years and is now starting his own firm called Breakfast in New York City. He was crazy ambitious and really inspiring.

from plastic to galactic.

this lovely existence is sammi bateman, my studio mate! she is wonderful and inspiring, she is the dessert you'd eat for breakfast, and the bird that lives in a treehouse made of glitter! sammi makes magic on a regular basis. inspiration? plastic.

philadelphia designers market.

this past saturday was my first attempt at selling work in a public vending place. grace and i sold our products together - our first collaboration under "space cadet sadie" we sold alongside other girls in the garment district, ud's fashion rso. we learned so much and have so many ideas of what we want to make next and how we can better market and brand ourselves. seeing as we threw this together last minute it turned out quite well and we ended up making a small profit. I left feeling so inspired and ready to push towards making a bulk of work to really market. making big plans for this summer.

gifts.

a few gifts for friends from japan, it's such fun to share little bits of your experiences with others.

my professors have influenced me so much, they always come to mind on my explorations. these are little vintage japanese matchboxes. justin and I matched to to the style of each of our professors.

for sammi, glittery, baking, crafting princess! dessert toy making materials!

for camden, keith, and andrew, my home boys - space invader ice cubes!

becca and her love for ichigo - strawberries! and mochi...

comfort.

thrift shopping will always have my heart because you can discover amazing home and wardrobe pieces in such an affordable way. I found this great bedspread for my house next year! $5.99 that's right! i am excited when i can capture the feeling of anthropologie/vintage/nature for such a steal.

freeing.

cut straight across bangs on a whim last night...

holga.

got my first one at loft in japan! i have taken one b&w roll, and have started my next. i still have to develop the film, i think i am embarking on a wonderful ongoing adventure here! it's such an experiment and get me combining and thinking better.

we achieved these photos by holding coloured, plastic candy wrappers over the flash.
